somehow i missed out on the pinback record that came out last fall. here’s a free download of AFK (right-click to download) from summer of abaddon, courtesy of download.com/pinback. if you like pinback it’s pretty much more of the same, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

borders had a buy two get one free deal on “comic boo– er, graphic novels” (that’s what the cashier said) so i picked up astonishing x-men: gifted, along with the ultimates: homeland security and a copy of kingdom come to replace the one i permanently loaned to my brother-in-law. i quickly pored through x-men and was thoroughly impressed.
