doa review

apple of discord got a very nice review in today’s delusions of adequacy:

Mature new-wave emo? The seemingly oxymoronic term lives through Apple of Discord. It’s good to hear bands that don’t suck. It’s even better to hear bands that don’t suck in a genre you like. It’s best when you hear bands that don’t suck in a genre you like that’s also been pegged as ‘dying’.

there’s some embarrassingly high praise in the rest of the review but it also sums up all my feelings on why there’s going to be an utter dearth of rock songs on the next record.
