engineer records (home to our friends elemae, who got pick of the week honors at DOA last week) is offering apple of discord a slot on an upcoming compilation set for late-summer release. i’m flattered; along with bands from the engineer roster, there’ll be bands from no idea, triple crown, immigrant sun, fidelity, limekiln and one day saviour on it. despite that it’s not an accurate representation of what we currently sound like, i think that my name is my passport would be a perfect fit. they want an unreleased track and i know that engineer expects something more emo rock than the fake easy listening, jazz and country we’ve been playing of late. besides, who says we’ll never rock again? actually, i’m positive that i’ve said that exact phrase on numerous occasions. hmm.
