been sick since saturday. ack. today at work we had a great Q & A via videoconference with quentin wilson. wilson was one of the ‘rocket boys’ documented in the book (and subsequent film) october sky. the students really enjoyed it and wilson had some really interesting things to say. on a tech note, i finally got the swiftsite configured so that it determines which video feed (near or far) to send to the VCR automatically by voice. in the past i’d either have to change the feed manually or we’d have an entire tape from one source, which looked kind of ridiculous.

new in the iPod: sleater-kinney’s the woods and medications’ your favorite people all in one place. the new SK isn’t grabbing me yet and medications starts out all spacey(!) but kicks in by the third track.
