turkey burgers ho!

unless people were being awfully polite, i think my turkey burgers were a big hit this weekend, both at greg’s and at our house. this is from a weight watchers recipe that monica’s mom gave me if you can believe it or not.

1 - 1 1/2 lb. lean ground turkey meat
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped onions
1 tsp crushed parsley flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp tarragon
1/4 tsp thyme

1. using a wisk, mix egg, onions and herbs in a large bowl.
2. stir in bread crumbs.
3. add ground meat and mix with a fork.
4. roll about 1/5 lb meat (a little smaller than the size of your palm) into a ball and pound it flat between your hands to make a patty. it’s important that you get the burger nice and thin because these things expand like nobody’s business. you should get 6-8 burgers out of a package.
5. cook for 3-4 minutes per side at 500 degrees. they cook equally well on a grill or foreman grill.
