be careful little hands played at the manhattan room this past friday night with another local favorite, like moving insects. download torch song, it’s pretty great.
and while you’re at it, support my friends jeff fields and steve shomo. they left for separate tours yesterday; check them out when they come to your town!

end of an error

kim’s giving up gameplayinsider and is on to much bigger and better things, like moving to san francisco to work as a developer for cnet / gamespot! part of me is totally proud and happy for him and the other part says, ‘take me with you!’
gpi may or may not continue. i’ve thought about [...]

nice & nicely done

holy crow, the spinto band got a write-up in this month’s spin! apple of discord played with them & kitty kat dirt nap at temple in 2003. here are some notes from my journal:
the spinto band played that synthy kind of indie-rock (or is it indie kind of synth-rock?) and for the most part i [...]

nothing ever stays buried

scanraid makes a powerful index.dat scanning tool called indexdat-zap. you’ll be surprised what it finds. also, it puts everything in nice little text files that you can easily import into excel. keep in mind that the freeware version doesn’t include zap and clean options.

back from vacation, it was awesome. put a big dent into zelda: wind waker, unlocked all characters in RE4’s mercenary mode, finished the chapters i’d skipped in our band could be your life (big black & mudhoney) and got through the first 200 pages of the runes of the earth. oh yeah, i spent more [...]

limping towards the end of a week’s worth of vacation down here in lovely ventnor city nj. the weather has been unbelievable all week long and i’ve been down to the beach three out of the past four days. yep, me! just a couple of things for now, more later:
currently reading the runes of the [...]

wonderful people

q & not u is breaking up. now i’m really missing them on the 17th (they’re at the stone pony) while i’m away. no kill no beep beep is a classic and i’d really started to get into power as of late. oh well.

domain change blues

i recently set up a domain name for a client with a new host and was not informed that they wanted to keep their email with their original host. i just needed to add an MX record for email and it should be switched back. new host is on a shared server so no [...]

my USTA tennis team, you’ve been served (long story) is playing in the district championships in hamilton township during the last weekend of july. we have matches at 8:30AM both mornings, yikes. cutting my running to once a week and trying to up my tennis to 4 times a week in preparation, we’ll see [...]

juiced notes

i’m currently reviewing the PS2 version of juiced for GPI. so far it’s not the worst racing game i’ve ever played but next to games like burnout 3 & midnight club 3 it might as well be. the actual racing and gameplay are very average and the career mode is agonizing to sit through.
put down [...]
