limping towards the end of a week’s worth of vacation down here in lovely ventnor city nj. the weather has been unbelievable all week long and i’ve been down to the beach three out of the past four days. yep, me! just a couple of things for now, more later:

currently reading the runes of the earth by stephen r. donaldson. i’m normally not a big fantasy reader but donaldson is such a master of characterization that his writing transcends genres. be warned - if you’re not sympathetic to flawed main characters full of self-loathing and doubt you’ll be disappointed.

mainly been listening to songs: ohia’s magnolia electric company in the house. it’s not a new record by any means but excellent nonetheless. MEC is playing with the much hyped clap your hands say yeah at the first unitarian in august. it definitely looks to be a great show.

went running on the beach twice so far this week. it’s a good 2.5-3 mile round trip between piers where we are. i really need a stopwatch but i figure that it takes me about thirty minutes to run.
