holy crow, the spinto band got a write-up in this month’s spin! apple of discord played with them & kitty kat dirt nap at temple in 2003. here are some notes from my journal:

the spinto band played that synthy kind of indie-rock (or is it indie kind of synth-rock?) and for the most part i really enjoyed it. the songs were long for that type of music but they were entertaining. at times it reminded me of when i first started playing and their smiles conveyed that ‘just happy to be here’ vibe and optimism. they made me feel good without feeling stupid.

what i didn’t add was that they were really nice, attitude-free kids (we exchanged knowing smirks during the carson’s machine set) and deserve the recognition. wilmington represent!
