backing up and packing up

upgrading my webspace, hopefully all my backups are good. see you in a few days.
update: ipowerweb was supposed to transfer my files over. it hasn’t happened yet so i went ahead and reuploaded everything myself. god forbid i go for a few days without this being up.

summer wouldn’t complete without a descent into the sweatbox that is the first unitarian church to see denison witmer, hail social & rainer maria. my friend arun lives two blocks away so i stopped by for some awesome vegetable lasagne (and blade 2) beforehand. ingredients included spinach, zucchini, boca meat. i’m going to give his [...]

are you a dreamer?

i had the pleasure of handling sound duties (read: bringing the PA) for denison witmer’s show last night at tunes in marlton. i’d read a few reviews of his new record but can’t say i’ve ever had the chance to check him out. to make a long story short, i’m glad i made it out. [...]

is there anything better in the summer than jersey corn? is there anything that couldn’t be made better by the presence of grilled shrimp? what if i told you that the total cost for this meal (for 2) was $4.31? i thought so.
1/2 lb. of large raw shrimp (14-16 ct.)
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. olive [...]

arise from your grave

i try not to post too much about my band here, but i just wanted to mention that it was a lot of fun to play out again this past friday. on an infinitely more interesting note, i used nero vision express to author a dvd using footage from the show. it provides a semi-professional [...]

shake and tremble

last week, erich reintroduced me to audioscrobbler, now lastfm. it’s a music obsessive’s dream and it’s pretty interesting so far, especially once you can access your lastfm ‘neighbors’ - people whose tastes mirror yours. i’ve already seen a lot of bands within my neighbor pages that i haven’t gotten around to checking out but i’ll [...]

situation: had a store credit at gamestop, bought madden 06, didn’t like it. honestly, last year’s espn blows it away. there’s updated 2005-06 rosters at nfl2K5forever.com and codejunkies, but do i really want to plunk down $30-$40 for an action replay?
solution: build your own action replay, using a usb cable and breakaway xbox controller cable. [...]

this one’s pretty easy. it’s basically a lighter and thinner beef steak marinade. i got the idea for sauteeing string beans from the tortilla press last week. i’d kind of gotten sick of steaming them and heck, everything tastes good with chili butter!
1/3 cup white wine vinegar
1/3 cup water
1 tbsp margarine
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tbsp [...]
