things that keep my job from being 100% fun: last week a virus hit one of my servers, damaging symantec AV and windows installer and also installed an IRC bot that’s linked to explorer.exe, whose memory usage spikes up over 90MB (!) over the course of the day. i’ve repaired symantec AV & windows installer (KB article ID 315346) but the preliminary system scans haven’t turned up anything. until i can run a proper scan in safe mode i’m killing explorer.exe at startup.
