probably my second worst day of work since the mail server self-destruct/rebuild this past summer. yesterday after a power outage, our main ATM circuit went down causing loss of internet & WAN access. at first i thought it our firewall had been hacked or it was a DOS attack but when i checked, everything was normal except that i could not send any traffic out of the router. after resetting, i’d get five minutes tops. i spent the day checking everything inside our network but after literally taking my laptop to the boiler room and hooking it up to the router as its sole connection and STILL having problems, it has to be a problem with the router or the line, both verizon’s responsibilities.

(update) we are inexplicably up at the moment but verizon is checking everything out today just to see wassupwiddat.
