Cover of R.E.M. "Feeling Gravitys Pull"
We're happy to be a part of the latest tribute album released by The Blog That Celebrates Itself, this one in honor R.E.M. - a band we all love. The song we chose after a bit of debate is "Feeling Gravitys Pull," the lead off track from their incredible "Fables of the Reconstruction" album (1985). You can listen to or download our cover here: Feeling Gravitys Pull and you can listen to or download the full album at TBCTI.

Cover of The Sound "New Dark Age"
We are honored to be a part of this tribute to The Sound released by The Blog That Celebrates Itself. We chose a song "New Dark Age," a song close to our hearts, and we took inspiration from both the studio version as well as the various, electrifying live versions many of which can be found as videos on YouTube. You can listen to our cover, as well as the rest of this amazing tribute album over at TBTCI

Cover of The Cure "Winter"
We are very excited to be a part of this awesome tribute to The Cure released by The Blog That Celebrates Itself. We chose a song that The Cure never finished, and was left previously unreleased until it's inclusion as a demo on the Three Imaginary Boys reissue. Sounding unlike the rest of 3IB it always seemed like it was a hint as to where the band would be going in their next few albums. The first step in our approach was to try and rearrange it as we thought they might have if they'd recorded it for one of those next few albums, and then we just played it a lot to make it ours. You can listen to it, as well as the rest of this fantastic tribute album over at TBTCI

We have been playing a lot of shows in support of the new "Watershed" album, and have been happy to share the stage with some fantastic bands, including The Pretty Greens, Wedding Dress, JoyCut (Italy), Bells, Be Forest (Italy), The Morelings and more. The Silence Kit has played Boot and Saddle, Johnny Brenda's, The Northstar Bar, and Milkboy in the last few months and we'd like to thank everyone who has come out to the shows and made each show such a great time. We have more shows lined up for the end of 2014 and into 2015, the first of which is this Friday 11/14 at Ortlieb's in Philadelphia with the fantastic shoegaze band Mahogany, as well as synth-pop artist Andre Obin. Check our shows page for all the info.
The "Watershed" album has received more great press and reviews from Review Stalker, Mad Mackerel, Radio Static and Stereo Embers Magazine, who included us in their recent instalment of "The Twenty Current Post Punk Bands You Should Know About." Take a look at what they are saying on our press page.
We were recently interviewed by VENTS Magazine and talked about our new "Watershed" album, as well as our new video for "You Think I'm Crazy Now."
